New York City

I woke up this morning, took a shower, and got ready for work. I stepped out of my apartment to be surrounded by the stifling heat. I swear the subway was about 150 degrees. And of course the horrid smell of garbage made it impossible to breath. I'm trying to decide what it is that I like about New York City. Sure you can get Mexican food delivered to your door at 4 a.m., you can party until 9 a.m., and there are tons of things to do like see broadway shows and watch live music. But there are definately some bad things, too. For one, it's disgustingly dirty and smelly. No matter where you are you are surrounded by filth. Two, people are so rude. Three, very materialistic people live here. Girls only like a guy if they live in a certain part of town, make a certain amount of money, and buy them certain things (ex: expensive jewelry, clothes, etc.) Five, it is so damn expensive. You need to make at least $60,000 or more to be able to afford a decent apartment, pay your bills, go out on the weekends, and keep up with the latest fashions (which is very important here). And by decent apartment I mean a shoe box sized apartment with only a minimal amount of roaches compared to a shoe box apartment with mice and millions of roaches. But for some reason I just like it here. You can't get this anywhere else. Maybe someday I'll move back to the Midwest.
